Black Button Distilling will participate in the sixth annual Next Great Consumer Brands event, officials announced Thursday. The local grain-to-glass distillery has been named a “Next Great Consumer Brand.”
The event is to be held at Nasdaq in Times Square in New York City on April 27, officials said.
Entrepreneurs such as Martha Stewart, brand founder and chief creative officer of Sequential Brands Group Inc., and Chip Wilson, founder of Lululemon Athletica Inc., are slated to speak at the event.
The event has helped more than 100 companies become exposed to investors and lenders who control billions of dollars in growth capital, officials said.
“It’s an honor to be selected to participate in the Next Great Consumer Brands conference in New York City,” said Jason Barrett, owner and head distiller of Black Button Distilling, in a statement. “Three years ago Black Button Distilling was just an idea on paper, and now we have 27 staffers bringing our hand crafted products to consumers across 12 states. It’s been quite a journey and I am looking forward to what the next three years have in store for us.”
It will be one of roughly a dozen food and beverage brands that will exhibit their products at the event.
Black Button Distilling has its headquarters at 85 Railroad St.
