Black Button Distilling and the New York Wine & Culinary center have teamed up to launch Garden Gin, a collaboration spirit that will be released on next week at the NYWCC Fourth Annual Garden Party, officials announced Tuesday.
The gin is an herbaceous London Dry style gin with herbs and licorice notes and a strong juniper nose, according to officials.
Proceeds from the sale of Garden Gin go to NYWCC’s Culinary Camps for Kids program and other educational programming.
“We love what the NYWCC does to bring unique New York products and educational programming to the community,” said Jason Barrett, Black Button Distilling president and head distiller. “This collaboration presented us with an opportunity to develop a London Dry style gin with tastes and inspiration from NYWCC’s garden. Garden Gin is yet another great example of the fine products and partnerships that are growing across Western New York and the Finger Lakes.”
NYWCC’s event is 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 31.
“We’ve partnered with Black Button Distilling in the past and this is a great expansion of our relationship. The Center strives to build relationships with all facets of New York State products in as many ways possible,” said John Berndt, general manager of the New York Wine & Culinary Center. “We are pleased and proud to work with Black Button Distilling to develop and release a special small batch gin that was created with flavors inspired by our garden.”
The Garden Gin is available at Black Button Distilling, NYWCC and select retailers.
